It looks like the oval office and the east coast is sticking to its bias. President Obama filled out his NCAA Wednesday on ESPN and had only one of the six Pac-10 teams in the tournament winning a first round game.

Obama chose four seed Washington to beat 12 seed Northern Iowa, only to lose in the next round to five seed Purdue.

During the “Barak-etology” special with Andy Katz, President Obama made special mention of Arizona, saying picking against them had nothing to do with John McCain, and that he loves the state of Arizona for its golf. He also added that U of A got into the tournament based solely off of past tournament appearances.

“It has nothing to do with McCain. I think Arizona’s a great state. I love playing golf there, but they just sneaked in, based on reputation.”

As far as our Sun Devils go, Mr. President made no mention of the team or university but chose to pick against them, selecting the 11 seeded Temple Owls to be Arizona State and move on to the next round.

Once again the Pac 10 and its Arizona teams have gotten the shaft from national media and political outlets.

When Katz mentioned Obama had just knocked off the entire Pac 10, Obama replied, “I hate to do it.”

Sure he does. Just like he hated to choose the Steelers over the Cardinals in the Super Bowl.

We’ll see if the Pac-10 can show the rest of the nation that it’s a force to be reckoned with.

Aside from President Obama’s lack of love for the Pac-10, he picked Final Memphis, Pittsburgh, Louisville and North Carolina to advance to the Final Four in Detroit.

In the national championship he has Louisville vs. North Carolina, with North Carolina coming out on top.

President Obama had time to get his bracket ready, which means you do too.
